Child Adolescent Therapy
Depending on the developmental level of the child/adolescent, I work with varying approaches including play therapy and narrative therapy for younger children to more concrete skills-based approach such as DBT for teenagers. Therapy always starts with a first intake session with the parent or caregiver, where we discuss your expectations from therapy and map out a plan for the process. Depending on the age of the child, and the preferences in the family, there can be an option for regular check-in sessions with the parents or caregivers.
The following topics can be addressed in therapy:
◦ Distruptions (e.g parental seperation; expatriation)
◦ Behavioral Disorders
◦ Depression and/or anxiety
◦ Identity issues (e.g LGBTQIA+)
◦ Self-esteem
◦ Emotional management
◦ Personality disorders
Session Duration: 50-55 mins.
